Mr. Kopelman is a writer and advocate committed to social justice and individual empowerment. He is the author and coauthor of nine other books, including From Rage to Reason: My Life in Two Americas, in collaboration with Janet Langhart Cohen, television personality; What Mama Taught Me, in collaboration with Tony Brown, host of Tony Brown’s Journal on PBS; and The Miracles of Mentoring, in collaboration with Thomas W. Dortch, Jr., national chairman of The 100 Black Men of America, Inc.
Mr. Kopelman has a degree in English literature from Vassar College and an MBA in marketing from New York University. He is the founding president of the Children’s Arts Guild, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting boys in building social and emotional skills through the active exploration of creativity and the arts.
