About the Author

Marian N. Ruderman is a senior fellow and director of research for the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at the Center for Creative Leadership. She has coauthored dozens of articles and book chapters on leadership. Her work has been published in the Journal of Applied Psychology and Academy of Management Journal, among many others. In addition, the popular press has reported widely on her work. Her books include Standing at the Crossroads: Next Steps for High-Achieving Women (coauthored with Patricia Ohlott); Diversity in Work Teams: Research Paradigms for a Changing Workplace (coedited with Susan Jackson); and The Center for Creative Leadership Handbook of Leadership Development, 3rd edition (coedited with Ellen Van Velsor and Cynthia McCauley).
