About the Author

Richard S. Wellins is a senior vice president with Development Dimensions International (DDI), a global human resource consulting firm in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is the author of four books and more than 20 articles on teams, leadership, and competency-based assessment. He served as the overall project sponsor for the ASTD 2004 Competency Study: Mapping the Future.
