Suchitra Shenoy
An abiding interest in people and concern about economic inequalities drew Suchitra Shenoy to the social sector. She has been in the field for more than a decade. Her work encompasses health care, housing, education, agriculture, and financial services. Suchitra was a founding member of the Inclusive Markets team at the Monitor Group, an international consulting firm, where she examined market-based solutions to poverty, especially business models that serve the poor as customers and as producers. She is on the advisory board of the Youth 4 Jobs Foundation, which works closely with companies to equip impoverished young people with the skills they need for meaningful employment. Suchitra enjoys sharing good ideas, especially inspiring ones. She has been invited to speak at Deloitte Research, Columbia University Business School, Stanford University's d.school, and the Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC). She holds degrees from Brandeis University and the London School of Economics. When she is not writing, Suchitra enjoys poetry, photography, and classical music.
